 Here is a decoration that Soffía from Skreytum Hús made last year. Here she uses shaggy feather flowers, brown feather flowers, brown fluffy feather flowers and white glass eggs.

 It's fun to decorate a little when setting the table. Here, Halldóra uses a yellow feather flower and shaggy egg as decoration. It looks very beautiful.

I wanted to compile some beautiful Easter decoration ideas as Easter is just around the corner. I get a lot of inspiration from Instagram and I'm going to share some pictures from there with you. The most noticeable things these days are beautiful branches, e.g. with feather flowers and hanging eggs or other beautiful decorations. This week we introduced a new product, so-called feather flowers, which resemble magnolia flowers. These flowers have been very popular in Sweden recently. Since they are made of feathers, the flowers can be said to live forever, which is a great advantage!

I am incredibly happy with these feather flowers. I love having flowers and life around me, but buying fresh flowers every week can be expensive. The flowers are on a thin wire used to attach them to branches or other decorations. One could say they are eternal flowers, and you can always change things up, swap colors, mix and match colors, and experiment with different branches and decorations. I also envision that it would be beautiful to decorate with these feathers and branches for confirmations or other celebrations. The yellow and patterned feathers are also perfect Easter decorations! The patterned feathers, along with other items, have just arrived and can be ordered here.

We have one type of artificial branch for sale here and plan to expand our selection of branches soon. The branches sold out quickly in the first shipment but are now back in stock. These branches are very realistic and well-made. Ideal for use with feather flowers.

Here is one branch after I attached a few feathers to it. This photo was taken very shortly after I removed the feather flowers from their packaging, but the flowers open up and become even more beautiful after about 1-2 days, in my opinion.

At the end of last week, the first shipment of beautiful posters from ByOlafsdóttir arrived.

This is Faroese design. All the pictures are taken and processed by Harriet Olafsdóttir. There is an interesting story behind each picture, as all the sheep live in Æðuvík in the Faroe Islands with Harriet and her family.

The posters are printed in the Faroe Islands on beautiful and high-quality paper and are delivered in elegant cardboard tubes, making them ideal gifts for various occasions.

I wanted to tell you the stories behind these beautiful animals.

Bambi

Bambi is a blind sheep that lives on the small farm Æðuvík in the Faroe Islands. She was found in a ditch, covered in mud and barely showing signs of life. Now she enjoys life as a pet of the family in Æðuvík. Bambi follows sounds and has created her own paths near the home.

Bambi is available in two sizes:
30x40 cm
50x70 cm

Olaf

Olaf is a lamb that lives in Æðuvík in the Faroe Islands. Originally from Ambadali in Gjógv, his mother rejected him and left him to die. Fortunately, the farmer was nearby and found the little lamb. He took it home in his backpack and cared for it until it could go to a new home. Olaf then found a new home in Æðuvík with Harriet Olafsdóttir and her family. Olaf loves life in Æðuvík. He loves chasing chickens and eating flowers.

Olaf is a perfect poster for a child's room or anywhere in the house.
The poster size is A4.

Bastian

Bastian is a shy and friendly ram who lives on the small farm Æðuvík in the Faroe Islands.
There's quite a funny story about Bastian; he was never considered the most attractive male in the group and was therefore kept in the back. However, he managed to get out unnoticed and decided to have some fun with the ewes. In short, about 30 offspring resulted from Bastian's frolics. Blood tests were then done to check Bastian's condition, and it turned out that he is indeed the most attractive ram in the entire area!

The flower crown was specially created and designed for Bastian from flowers that match his beautiful white wool well. Bastian didn't mind posing for the photoshoot and was rewarded with plenty of sheep treats.

The poster size is 30x40 cm.

In April, MAN magazine visited our cute little apartment, which is only 38 square meters, although some parts of the apartment are under the eaves and are therefore not included in the square meter count. Bergrún Íris Sævarsdóttir interviewed me and Heiða Helgadóttir took all the photos. The magazine is unfortunately not yet for sale, but this was the April issue. I wanted to share with you the photos from the visit.

Here you can see the living room. In the picture you can see both the Díana mirror and the Dís flower vase.
The mirror is available in three colors but the vase is sold out but expected back in late May or early June.

Calvin was of course the main model in the visit. In the picture you can see the Haki leather handles, the Hring candle holder and the Saxi wall hanging. The poster is a test poster that I had made and may possibly be sold in the Purkhús webshop.
